The TREC Program opened Minnesota’s first dedicated space for justice impacted students in January 2024. Located on MCTC’s campus in the heart of Minneapolis, the space is equipped with a computer lab, a re-entry & resources space, a basic needs pantry, a lounge area with seating and a projector for programming and presentations, and staff and student worker offices. While Metro State students have access to the TREC Center at MCTC, the College of Individualized Studies on Metro State’s St. Paul Campus includes dedicated space for TREC students at Metro State. In collaboration with justice impacted students and alumni, the College of Individualized Studies hosts recurring programming specifically geared towards supporting justice impacted students.
